  • U.S., Iran Hold High-Stakes Talks in Pakistan Amid Deep Divisions ISLAMABAD, April 11 — Senior officials from the United States and Iran met in Pakistan’s capital on Saturday for high-level negotiations aimed at ending weeks of conflict in the Middle East, but sharp disagreements over key issues underscored the challenges ahead. At the center of the talks is Iran’s demand for a ceasefire in Lebanon, where ongoing Israeli military operations against Hezbollah have caused heavy casualties. Tehran insists that progress in negotiations depends on Washington committing to halt the violence. The United States and Israel, however, maintain that the Lebanon conflict is separate from U.S.-Iran discussions. Sanctions relief remains a major sticking point, alongside disputes over Iran’s nuclear program, missile capabilities, and control of the Strait of Hormuz. #USIran #Diplomacy #IslamabadTalks #MiddleEast #Geopolitics #WorldNews #BreakingNews #GlobalSecurity #TrendingNow

  • Hormuz Battle The Strait of Hormuz has once again stood as the center of global attention, not just as a strategic waterway, but as a potential test of American power in an increasingly uncertain world. In recent weeks, growing tensions between the United States and Iran have raised concerns about the security of this narrow passage through which roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply flows, and to which any disruption would significantly affect the Middle East, and send shockwaves across global markets, from Europe to Asia. Ray Dalio drew a striking historical comparison.... https://www.morganable.com/hormuz-battle/?utm_source=instagram-business&utm_medium=jetpack_social

Who can rescue PDP from collapse? The People’s Democratic Party “PDP” , once the pride of Nigeria’s democracy and the self-acclaimed largest party in Africa, is today at a crossroads.

The once mighty institution that produced presidents, governors, and lawmakers across the country is now battling internal decay, endless leadership crisis, and a rapidly fading national relevance.

But every broken institution can rise again if it finds the right leader. For the PDP, that leader is Alhaji Sule Lamido, the former Governor of Jigawa State and one of the founding fathers of the party.

As the PDP searches for a new national chairman, it must drop sentiments, discard factional greed, and prioritize national interest over personal ambitions.

Who Can Rescue PDP From Collapse?

The time has come for the party to return to the man who helped build it, a man whose name still commands respect across party lines; Sule Lamido, Bamaina himself.

A Party in Search of Itself

The PDP’s troubles are not hidden, ranging from court battles over leadership to defections and internal mistrust. The party has become a house divided against itself.

What was once a symbol of unity and democratic strength now appears disorganized and ideologically confused.

Its biggest problem, however, is not the absence of followers but the absence of trustworthy leadership. The party’s glory faded the moment personal interest became stronger than collective purpose.

If the PDP truly wants to regain the confidence of Nigerians, it needs a leader who embodies integrity, discipline, and institutional memory. I found that leadership in Sule Lamido, a man whose political journey is anchored on service, not survival.

The Man Who Stood When Others Bent

Sule Lamido is not your typical Nigerian politician. He is principled, fearless, and brutally honest. In an era when loyalty is traded for convenience, Lamido remains one of the few who never abandoned the ideals that birthed the PDP.

He was there at the beginning, among those who envisioned a broad based political movement capable of uniting Nigeria beyond ethnic and religious divides. Such consistency through the years stands as a testament to his character.

As governor of Jigawa State from 2007–2015, Lamido redefined governance. He turned what was once dismissed as a “civil service state” into one of the most progressive in Northern Nigeria.

Who Can Rescue PDP From Collapse?

His focus on education, infrastructure, and human capital development left behind visible results. Beyond governance, Lamido’s politics has always been guided by conviction, not convenience.

He and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, another respected northern leader belong to a rare breed of politicians who are respected across divides, not because of wealth or influence, but because of their integrity and courage.

Why the PDP Needs Lamido Now

The current PDP leadership crisis is not just about power; it’s about direction and identity per se. The party that once set the tone for democratic competition is now struggling to play its role as a credible opposition.

Sule Lamido offers something different , “stability, vision, and credibility”. He is not a man who will manipulate internal systems for personal gain. His leadership style is frank, consultative, and fearless. At a time when the PDP is fragmented by cliques, Lamido’s voice can command both loyalty and respect.

He represents a bridge between the old guard and the younger generation of members who still believe in the PDP dream. If voted, the party can reawaken its founding principles; justice, inclusivity, and national unity.

The Courage to Speak Truth to Power

Even outside public office, Lamido has remained vocal about Nigeria’s political direction. He has never shied away from criticizing his own party when it derails from its principles. That rare ability to hold even allies accountable is what sets him apart.

Nigeria’s democracy needs capable opposition leaders who can offer credible alternatives, not just noise. Lamido fits that bill, a statesman with both historical perspective and contemporary relevance.

Who Can Rescue PDP From Collapse?

This Is Not About Sentiment

My position is not shaped by party membership, I am not a member of the PDP, and I owe no allegiance to any of its factions. My argument is born out of observation and patriotism, a recognition that Nigeria’s democracy needs a functional opposition. And for the PDP to function effectively, it must be under the watch of someone who understands its history

Sule Lamido is not perfect, but he is authentic, and authenticity is the rarest quality in politics today.

A Call to Conscience

The PDP has reached a decisive moment. It must decide whether it wants to remain a party of crisis or become a movement of purpose once again. `It must choose whether to keep recycling weak leadership or embrace a bold, tested hand.

If the party truly wants to restore its lost glory, the answer is simple: Sule Lamido should be the next PDP National Chairman.

He has the experience to lead, the respect to unite, and the courage to confront uncomfortable truths. More importantly, he has the moral authority to remind the PDP who it once was, and who it can be again.

Nigeria’s democracy thrives only when its major parties are strong, credible, and accountable. A rejuvenated PDP under Lamido’s leadership would not only strengthen democratic competition but also restore hope to millions of Nigerians who feel politically orphaned.

Who Can Rescue PDP From Collapse?

The time for indecision is over. The PDP must rise from its ruins and it must do so under the guiding hand of Sule Lamido, a man whose integrity can heal the wounds of division.
