Trump dismisses russian strength as Zelensky calls him a game changer
Amid month-long war between Russia and Ukraine, the United States President Donald Trump described the Russian Army as a “paper tiger” and backs Kyiv to react quickly to take back lands captured since the inception of the Russia invasion in February 2022.
Reacting to the remark, the Kremlin hit back at the confused U. S. President following his claim that Kyiv could win “all of Ukraine back in its original form” which many termed rare of Trump whom they know as a friend of Putin.
According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov who rebuffed the claims that Kyiv would regain its land captured by Russian army, in contrary to what Mr. Trump initially said was impossible. He also appeared to refute the US president’s claim that Russia’s war against Ukraine was a directionless one.

Trump’s comments came after he met with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday evening, after delivering an extraordinary attack on Washington’s allies over their climate and migration policies.
Remarking the Ukraine’s war on social media eventually,
said restoring the “original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option”.
“Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act,” he added.
Also, Mr. Trump also directed NATO to bring down Russian warplanes which appear to have violated the alliance’s skies after various incursions were reported in Estonia, Romania and Poland.
Spanish Defence Minister’s Plane Encounters GPS Disturbance
A Spanish military jet with Defence Minister Margarita Robles on it suffered a GPS disturbance amid air as it flew close to Russia’s Kaliningrad enclave en route Lithuania, as reported by the country’s military without further report.
As well as Robles, the plane was carrying relatives of Spanish airmen who form part of the NATO air defence mission on its eastern flank.
The mission was launched earlier this month after Poland shot down drones that violated its airspace.
“There has been an attempt to disrupt the GPS signal, but as our aircraft has an encrypted system, it was not affected,” according to a Defence Ministry spokesperson.
“It must be common on this route and also with commercial flights. It is not because it is our aircraft,” they added.

Have Narratives Changed On Ukraine War After Trump Met Putin In Alaska?
Prior to Alaska Summit between President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin last month, the US president repeatedly said that before Ukraine-Russia war could be brought to an end, there must be “some land swapping.”
Engaging in dialogue with Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders afterwards, Trump said that Putin remained insistent on wanting the Donetsk and Luhansk regions which constitute Donbas, as reported by European officials.
After a few days, Zelensky and other prominent European leaders came to the White House. Following the meetings, Mr. Trump declared that he was planning a direct talks between Putin and Zelensky.
But Putin hasn’t shown any interest in meeting with Zelensky and Moscow has only intensified its bombardment of Ukraine. European leaders as well as American lawmakers, including some Republican allies of Trump, have urged the president to dial up stronger sanctions on Russia.
“In the event that Russia is not ready to make a deal to end the war, then the United States is fully prepared to impose a very strong round of powerful tariffs, which would stop the bloodshed, I believe, very quickly,” Trump said.
Howbeit, he echoed his calls for European nations to “step it up” and stop buying Russian oil, as it calls it the engine feeding Putin’s war machine.
On Tuesday at the UN General Assembly, Trump believed Ukraine could regain all its territories captured by Russia, cited as a dramatic shift from the US leader’s constant calls for Kyiv to reach concords to bring an end to the war.

Trump Is deeply Mistaken ─ Kremlin
In response to Trump’s ‘claim that Ukraine could regain its territory captured by Russia since 2022’, the Kremlin has slammed Donald Trump.
In a dramatic description, the Kremlin spokesperson described it as “deeply mistaken”. He also rebuffed Mr. Trump’s claim that Russia-Ukraine war was an aimless one.
Russia’s economy, Peskov added, fully satisfies the needs of its armed forces.
The US President Donald Trump earlier said in a post on his Truth Social: “Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act.”
Russian economy is collapsing, but implications of any real sanctions on Russia would cost Trump dear too.
As speculated, Vladimir Putin is living on borrowed time─at least if Donald Trump sticks to his word and goes with threats to crash Russia’s economy.
Over the last three years, 18 announcements of European Union sanctions have failed to make much of an economic dent in the Kremlin’s war machine.
That is because, despite its rhetoric around support for Ukraine, Europe still keeps the money flooding into Moscow. Russia is still its third-largest supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG), and it increased its imports from Russia by 25 per cent in 2024.
Trump Dismisses Russian Strength
If Mr. Trump decided to impose his proposed secondary sanctions on countries importing Russian oil, uranium, gas─a patronage list topped by China, India and the EU itself─then Putin would quickly realise he is out of money and unable to fuel his war machines.
Donald Trump has revealed that Russia is in a big economic mess and this should serve as a wake-up call for Ukraine to act, but let us not forget that Vladimir Putin has a long-standing friendship with Trump and he knows how to use that.
Prominent Russians Slam ‘Undignified’ Trump

“His rhetoric is so undignified that it is difficult to imagine someone like him still in office as president of a great power,” Mr. Rogozin posted on Telegram.
Trump Dismisses Russian Strength
In a statement made by Margarita Simonyan, one of Russia’s senior state media executive, described Trump as a tarot card reader promising his client─Ukraine─the unreal when he remarked that Kyiv could regain its territory occupied by Russia since 2022.
According to her post on X:”Trump debuts as the tarot card reader telling the thrice-divorced lady that she is going to meet that billionaire prince after all, as long as she buys the magic crystals.”
