President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on political leaders in Plateau State to embrace inclusive governance by appointing members of the Hausa/Fulani community to key positions in the state government and recognizing them as indigenes of the state.

The President made the remarks during a high-level dialogue meeting with political, traditional, and religious leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Addressing participants at the meeting, Tinubu stressed that sustainable peace and development in Plateau State require fairness, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all communities.

  • Goldman Sachs Lowers 2027 Brent Oil Price Forecast Over Supply Growth, Demand Risks

Goldman Sachs has reduced its forecast for Brent crude oil prices in 2027, citing expectations of increased global oil supply and growing concerns over weaker demand.

The investment bank said rising production from major oil-producing countries, coupled with uncertainties surrounding global economic growth, could place downward pressure on oil prices in the coming years.

Analysts noted that slower economic activity in key markets and the increasing adoption of alternative energy sources may affect long-term demand for crude oil.

The revised outlook comes as energy markets continue to monitor geopolitical developments, production policies by major exporters, and changing consumption patterns worldwide.

France sponsors terrorism in Africa as he claims France is also planning to set up Terrorist Base in Nigeria

Nigeria and her neighboring countries, in recent years, have been rocked with various terrorist attacks and activities.

The activities of the terrorists have not eluded the Nigerien Military leader’s attention who, again, accuses France of aiding terrorism within the West African region.

It can be recalled the Tiani came to power through a successful coup after dethroning the civilian president some months ago.

Efforts were made by Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and African Union (AU) to restore civil rule, proved abortive.

Amidst Nigeria and its neighboring countries’ struggle against the activities of these Islamic sects, the Head of Niger Junta, General Abdourahamane Tiani, has claimed that France should be held responsible.

He has also accused France of moving to establish a terrorist operational base in Gaba, a deserted forest in Sokoto State Nigeria.

He stressed the Nigerian Government is also aware of France aiding terrorism and has moved to thwart France’s inhumane drive in the region.

According to his allegation, Tiani said France is also helping Nigeria and her Military to fight terrorism by setting up a military base in Borno State, which he described as a decoy, and its main intention is to plant disorderliness and destabilization in Niger and its neighboring countries.

The Niger’s military leader also revealed that information garnered from captured or nabbed terrorists have revealed France’s ulterior motives−secretly planning to establish terrorist base in Sokoto in collaboration with new-formed terrorist group known ‘Lukurawa.’

He then stated that the intelligence mustered from the arrested terrorists have been sent to Nigerian Authorities for authentication.

He disclosed how Niger officials have been in contact with the former Director-General of Nigeria’s intelligence Agency (NIA) Ahmed Rufai Abubakar for authentication of the intelligence.

Tiani claims that despite assurance from Abubakar that the intelligence will be verified and authenticated, it has been mal-utilized, and no verification and investigation has been launched into it, and This might indicate that Abubakar is indirectly linked to the terrorist network.

The Junta leader also alleged that since the French government got involved, having known that the Chadian military had been hitting the terrorist with airstrikes, the terrorists, have since, then been provided with sophisticated weapons which have the capabilities of shooting down military jets.

“It is France that gave the weapons to Boko Haram terrorists, so that if a Chadian military jet came to strike them, the terrorists could use the weapons provided by the French government to bring it down,’ he stated.

“They struck on October 16, when France supplied them with the weapons. The information we gathered from the terrorists we arrested indicated that there is an ongoing discussion, and Nigerian leaders are aware of it.”

In his claims, he also disclosed that France is planning to establish a terrorist base in Sokoto through ‘Lakurawa.’

He said, “There is a forest called ‘Gaba’ in Sokoto, where they are planning to establish an operational center for terrorists, named ‘Lakurawa’.

“We received intelligence on March 4 that France and ISWAP were planning to set up an operational center in Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara to prepare positions for terrorist activities.”

The Niger leader further disclosed that they got this information from one of the arrested terrorists, who also told them that the Nigerian government and authorities are fully aware of France aiming to establish a terrorist operational base in Sokoto State−a Northern State if Nigeria.

“However, we dismissed his claim as false because he was unwilling to allow us to share this information with the Nigerian government.

“As Niger and Nigeria are closely connected, we felt it was our responsibility to report any information that could be harmful.

“We reported what France was planning to do to the Director-General of the National

Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, as we were unaware of these developments.

“He assured us that he would send personnel to gather more information.

“We took on their responsibilities, and there was no location we did not visit or have exclusive discussions with the arrested terrorists,” he said

In his statement, he said every information gathered from the arrested terrorists on the France’s move to establish Terrorist Operational Centre was passed to Nigeria, but he cannot claim if Nigeria has duly worked on it.

“We later discovered that the person we contacted, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, is one of the individuals used by the West as a negotiator,” Tiani revealed.

“He supervises the terrorists and is also sent to a country called the Central African Republic.

“If the terrorists are arrested, he is the one responsible for bailing them out, as well as handling their weapons and providing money for food. He oversees the entire process,” Tiani explained.

“After learning this, things began to fall apart. We had trusted the wrong people, and once we discovered the truth, we were left unsure of who to trust or confide in about the situation in Nigeria.

“Meanwhile, Nuhu Ribadu is aware of the entire issue, but everyone involved has kept silent about it.

“Having seen how things played out, we decided to take matters into our own hands.

“If the Lakurawa terrorists are arrested, we are now considering what to do.”

He concluded by saying the France has also established a base in Benin Republic to fully monitor neighboring African countries should any oppose them.
