• Rev. Ezekiel Dachamo Alleges Boko Haram Infiltrated Nigerian Military, Links Claim to U.S. Troop Withdrawal

JOS, Nigeria — The Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev. Ezekiel Dachamo, has alleged that members of the Boko Haram insurgent group have occupied strategic positions within the Nigerian Armed Forces.

The cleric made the remarks in a video circulated on his social media page, where he discussed the security situation in Nigeria and the recurring violence in parts of the country.

According to Rev. Dachamo, the alleged infiltration of the military was the reason United States military personnel were withdrawn from Nigeria after, he claimed, they received security reports from troops deployed to assess the security situation.

He further alleged that the U.S. personnel had been sent in connection with concerns over what he described as the killing of Christian communities in parts of the country.

Rev. Dachamo did not provide evidence to substantiate his claims during the video.

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Federal Government of Nigeria, and the United States Government had not publicly confirmed Rev. Dachamo

  • Nigel Farage’s Resignation : Political Money, Broken Rules and the Africa Diaspora Question

Nigel Farage’s resignation as MP for Clacton has turned a parliamentary standards controversy into a wider test of political money, democratic accountability and migration politics. With major parties refusing to contest the by-election, the episode raises urgent questions about whether electoral theatre can be used to weaken parliamentary scrutiny — and what that means for African diasporas in Britain, Ireland and at home....

  • Teaching Al-Musannaf Requires Rare Scholarly Expertise Beyond the Reach of Many Nigerian Scholars

Renowned Islamic scholar and founder of Darul Hadith Salafiyya, Zaria, Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Adam (Albani Zaria), has stated that teaching Kitabul Al-Musannaf requires an exceptional level of scholarly competence that, according to him, many Nigerian Islamic scholars do not possess.

The late cleric made the remarks during one of his Sahih al-Bukhari lectures in 2013, while discussing contemporary religious issues and the qualifications required to teach classical Islamic texts.

According to Sheikh Albani, Al-Musannaf is among the most comprehensive works in Islamic scholarship and demands mastery of several disciplines before a scholar can competently teach its contents.

"Teaching Kitabul Al-Musannaf requires rare scholarly expertise beyond what many Nigerian scholars possess," he said.

He explained that a scholar seeking to teach the book must possess extensive knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), Hadith sciences (Mustalah al-Hadith), Islamic history (Tarikh), principles of narration, and other related Islamic sciences.

Albani argued that beyond academic qualifications, teaching the text requires years of specialization, extensive research, and a deep understanding of the differences among classical scholars and schools of thought.

According to him, many scholars lack the time, specialization, and depth of knowledge necessary to undertake such a demanding scholarly responsibility.

The respected scholar maintained that teaching advanced Islamic texts without the required expertise could lead to misunderstanding, inaccurate interpretations, and confusion among students of knowledge.

Eniola Ajao apologised for her choice of Bobrisky. The veteran beautiful Yoruba Nollywood Actress, Eniola Ajao tendered unreserved apology to all her aggrieved fans who were disappointed about the stunt pulled out by her marketing team during the cameo Fashion Competition Show aimed at boosting the publicity and  public awareness for her newly released movie, THE BEAST OF TWO WORLDS – AJAKAJU which grossed 16m in revenue on the first day of release to cinemas, nationwide.

What Happened?

On Sunday, the 24th of March, 2024, Eniola Ajao and her bevy of beautiful and handsome industry colleagues, family and friends gathered at the Circle Mall in Jakande, Lagos to celebrate with Eniola Ajao, @eniola_ajao at the premiere of her newly released movie, The Beast of Two Worlds – Ajakaju, #ajakajuthemovie.

The movie premiere boasts attendees such as  Nigerian Celebrity A-listers such as Femi Adebayo, Toyin Ajeyemi, Odunlade Adekola, Wumi Toriola,Rukayat Lawal (Iya ‘Badan Sneh), Ronke Ojo (Ronke Oshodi Oke), Antar Laniyan,Razak Olayiwola (Ojopagogo),Tobi Makinde, Moyosore Elesho, Abiola Olaseni Anike, among many other celebrities.

As part of the event of the movie premiere for The Beast Of the Two World – Ajakaju, #ajakajuthemovie, a fashion show competition was organised to spice the event while boosting its publicity and awareness.

The judges decided to pick the popular cross-dresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, otherwise known as Bobrisky as the winner of the category of the Most Dressed Woman

The backlash is on the backdrop of the stunt pulled by the judges of the Fashion show where the Nigerian  crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju popularly known as Bobrisky was awarded as the Most Dressed Woman at the side Fashion Show competition during the premier of the newly released movie.

The backlash is not close to mitigating anytime soon as several artists have been clashing with one another . For instance , Dayo Amusan called out Femi Adebayo while Femi Adebayo and Abimbola Kazim otherwise known as Jigan Bi Oja retaliated.

The busiest of all the noise is the public spar between Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable and Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju otherwise known as Bobrisky with their attention-worthy drama. As a matter of fact, Habeeb Okikiola (Portable) released a song to diss Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju (Bobrisky), and there no love lost does not appear to have any respite in sight. Even some spouses were not left out of the action. For instance, Femi Adebayo’s wife called out Dayo Amusan labelling her a “hypocrite” while Portable’s wife , Ashabi reprimanded Bobrisky for cursing at Portable’s children.

However, Eniola Ajao , being a wise lady that she is, has apologised to her massive fan base for making a supposed wrong judgement.  Let’s forgive and her support her to make The beast of Two Worlds-Ajakaju, a success.

Below is the apology letter she released to the public., as follows:

Dear Esteemed Members of the Public

I write to you today with a heavy heart, filled with regret and remorse over the events that unfolded at my movie premiere, BEAST OF TWO WORLDS “AJAKAJU,” #ajakajuthemovie on Sunday, 24th March, 2024. I address you all today, taking full responsibility and seeking your pardon with my deepest regrets for the distress and turmoil caused by the events surrounding the selection of Best Dressed at the premiere of

“AJAKAJU.”

First, I want to extend my sincerest apologies to the Muslim community, especially during this sacred month of Ramadan.

I acknowledge and respect the significance of this time, and it was never my intention to offend or upset anyone with the proceedings of our premiere. Please accept my sincerest apologies for any distress my actions may have caused during this sacred time.

To the women in our society, I want to express my profound apologies. As a woman myself, I understand the importance of upholding and honouring our gender with dignity and respect. I want to assure you that I hold the utmost reverence for womanhood, and I would never intentionally engage in any behaviour that diminishes or disparages the role of women in our society.

I also extend my heartfelt apologies to My honourable and supportive boss Femi Adebayo @femiadebayosalami and his wife, @iyanaladuke and @dayoamusa for the undue backlash they faced as a result of the announcement made at our event. I deeply regret the insults and disrespect directed towards them, and I take full responsibility for any harm caused.

To Bobrisky @bobrisky222 | offer my sincere apologies for putting you in a difficult position. The decision to award you was never meant to cause harm or controversy but was rather an attempt to generate publicity for our movie. I am truly sorry for any distress this may have caused you.

In an effort to make amends and correct my mistakes, I have decided to honour two females, Bode Alao and one other beautiful woman as the best-dressed females at the premiere. Each will receive a sum of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) as a token of my sincere apology and appreciation for their grace.

Let us support our girl, Eniola Ajao to make a success out of the inadvertent chaos that ensued following the award of the Most Dressed Woman .

Please visit the nearest cinemas to your place in Nigeria. take your friends along and watch the scintillatingly exciting newly released movie- The Beast of Two Worlds – Ajakaju.

May the movie, The Beast Of Two Worlds-Ajakaju become a massive success. May the good Lord grant Eniola Ajao her deepest heartfelt desires , and may her stars, moon and sun continue to align.
