Well Wishers Canvassing Me to Run for 2020 Presidential Election

Well-wishers canvassing me to run for the  2016 American Presidential election, Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday while refusing to rule out another presidential campaign run soon when quizzed on the BBC Radio 5 Live about the possibility of having another go at the presidential election.

She further claimed that “so many well-wishers are putting enormous pressures on her to enter into the 2020 presidential race.” However, she emphasised that “running another presidential campaign is not in her immediate plans, at least, as I sit in this studio.”

During the interview, she said among other things “Look, I think all the time about what kind of president I would’ve been and what I would’ve done differently, and what I think it would’ve meant to our country and our world.” She further said that “Whoever wins next time is going to have a big task trying to fix everything that’s been broken.”

It should be recalled that in 2016, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote but lost the electoral college when she ran against the Republican Donald Trump. Her suggestion on Tuesday, that another election campaign is overdue fuels the notion that she’s about to be swayed into entering the 2020 presidential race.

There are still other Democrats actively thing of joining the race. These include Governor Deval Patrick, the former governor of Massachusetts and Michael Bloomberg, the former Mayor of New York City who has already filed for primaries.
