Trump, Hegseth hit media over false Iran attack report as the President admits the attack not complete success
Following the United Statesβ Intel attack on Iranian nuclear site three days ago, President Trump has hit false media reports on the event.
On Wednesday, the United States President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth both attempted to oppose a preliminary U.S. Intelligence evaluation on the United Statesβ Intel attacks on Iranian nuclear site which indicates that the attack did little damage by claiming that the reports discredit the B-2 pilots who dropped the bombs.
This statement was made at a news conference while preparing to leave the NATO Summit in the Netherlands, Mr. Trump says the pilots feel βdevastatedβ by the false reports that the strikes were not totally successful.
Prior to his departure from the summit, the U.S. president was asked about the Defence Intelligence Agencyβs preliminary evaluation that the attacks on the Ntanz, Isfahan and Fordo nuclear sites might likely roll back Iranβs nuclear programme by only a few months. He confirmed the receipt of the report but cites that it was not complete.

He hit back at journalists who asked questions about it, reiterating his claim that Iranβs nuclear programme was βobliterated,β and shifted the discussion to the B-2 pilots who carried out the operation.
“You should be praising those people instead of trying to find out by getting me by trying to go and get me. You’re hurting those people,” Trump told reporters.
Towards the ending of Wednesday, Trump took to his private-owned social media platform The Truth, to say Hegseth would hold a news conference on Thursday (this) morning “in order to fight for the Dignity of our Great American Pilots.”
“They felt terribly! Fortunately for them and, as usual, solely for the purpose of demeaning PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP,” he said in part.
“The News Conference will prove both interesting and irrefutable.”
President Trump also stated, in his Netherlands news conference, that he had got a call from Missouri, where the pilots live, about the intelligence report and news about it, stating he was told they were “devastated, because they were trying to minimize the attack.”
“I spoke to one of them. He said, ‘Sir, we hit the site. It was perfect. It was dead on,’ because they don’t understand fake news,” Trump said.
President Trump stressed further on the matter of pilots that βthey were devastated. They put their lives on the line.β
Since U.S.β attack on Iranian nuclear facility on Saturday, Trump and his men are said to have commended the B-2 pilot on their mission but eloped to refer them as part of the pushback on Wednesday.
The U.S. Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth, standing by the president, approached the microphone to argue news reporters and houses βdonβt care what the troops think.β

“These pilots, these refuellers, these fighters, these air defenders, the skill and the courage it took to go into enemy territory flying 36 hours on behalf of the American people in the world to take out a nuclear program is beyond what anyone in this audience can fathom,” Hegseth said.
Similarly, Hegseth and Trump downplayed the preliminary reports describing the extent of the damage done on Iran nuclear sites.
“The report said what it said and it was fine. It was severe, they think, but they had no idea. They shouldn’t have issued a report until they did, but we’ve got the information,” Trump said.
Trumpβs βObliterationβ Strike Claims Slows Down Negotiation With Iran

President Donald Trump highlighted an Israeli Intelligence report that he insisted that the “strike on Fordo destroyed the site’s critical infrastructure and rendered the enrichment facility totally inoperable.”
As per the military reports, it is stated that there is no doubt the Iranian nuclear sites sustained significant damage, but that a βbattle damage assessmentβ would still need some more time to complete, as no Western staff have been able to individually inspect the targeted sites as of Wednesday.

In the statement of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, it is said in a post on his verifies X handle on Wednesday that “Iran’s nuclear facilities have been destroyed,” and also slamming the news media. A source close to Gabbardβs evaluation told news reporters that her view obtained from new U.S. intelligence.
“The propaganda media has deployed their usual tactic: selectively release portions of illegally leaked classified intelligence assessments (intentionally leaving out the fact that the assessment was written with “low confidence”) to try to undermine President Trump’s decisive leadership and the brave servicemen and women who flawlessly executed a truly historic mission to keep the American people safe and secure,” she posted in part.
Hegseth claimed that the preliminary reports and pictures depict the extent of the damage done on the Iranian nuclear sites.
“So, if you want to make an assessment of what happened at Fordo, you better get a big shovel and go really deep because Iran’s nuclear program is obliterated and somebody somewhere is trying to leak something to say, ‘Oh, with low confidence we think maybe it’s moderate,” he claimed.
