• Tinubu Urges Plateau State Governor to Include Hausa/Fulani in his Cabinet, and also Recognize Them as Indigenes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on political leaders in Plateau State to embrace inclusive governance by appointing members of the Hausa/Fulani community to key positions in the state government and recognizing them as indigenes of the state.

The President made the remarks during a high-level dialogue meeting with political, traditional, and religious leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Addressing participants at the meeting, Tinubu stressed that sustainable peace and development in Plateau State require fairness, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all communities.

  • Goldman Sachs Lowers 2027 Brent Oil Price Forecast Over Supply Growth, Demand Risks

Goldman Sachs has reduced its forecast for Brent crude oil prices in 2027, citing expectations of increased global oil supply and growing concerns over weaker demand.

The investment bank said rising production from major oil-producing countries, coupled with uncertainties surrounding global economic growth, could place downward pressure on oil prices in the coming years.

Analysts noted that slower economic activity in key markets and the increasing adoption of alternative energy sources may affect long-term demand for crude oil.

The revised outlook comes as energy markets continue to monitor geopolitical developments, production policies by major exporters, and changing consumption patterns worldwide.

Hezbollah Agreed “Ceasefire Deal” Before Assassination

As The Killings By IDF Described as “Dangerous”

In a shocking interview with CNN’s correspondent, Christine Amanpour, Abdallah Bou Habib, Lebanon’s Foreign Minister, has disclosed that the leadership of Hezbollah Terrorists Group already agreed to ceasefire deal before the assassination of it leaders across board.

He revealed that the temporary ceasefire was already a deal on the card and tagged the operation “dangerous.”

He stated that Hassan Nasrallah, one of the assassinated leaders of the group, already agreed to 21-day ceasefire a few days before he was killed by Israeli Defence Forces.

Earlier, the United States President Joe Biden, Manuel Macron, the French President, and various other allies called for ceasefire operation during Last Week’s United Nation General Assembly. Hezbollah Agreed “Ceasefire Deal” Before Assassination

“He [Nasrallah] agreed, he agreed,” Habib told Christiane Amanpour in an interview aired on Wednesday.

“We agreed completely. Lebanon agreed to a ceasefire but consulting with Hezbollah. The [Lebanese House] Speaker Mr. Nabih Berri consulted with Hezbollah and we informed the Americans and the French what happened.

“And they told us that Mr. [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu also agreed on the statement that was issued by both presidents [Biden and Macron.]” Hezbollah Agreed “Ceasefire Deal” Before Assassination

Amos Hochstein, White House Senior Adviser, was asked to go to Lebanon to negotiate the ceasefire deal between the two parties involved.

Habib stressed, “They told us that Mr. Netanyahu agreed on this and so we also got the agreement of Hezbollah on that and you know what happened since then.”

IDF killed Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike attack on a Friday, around southern suburb of Beirut, the Capital city of Lebanon.

A day before his killing, a coordinated statement was released by the United States, France, Australia, Canada, the European Union, Germany, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Qatar which demanded ceasefire for three weeks in order, “to give diplomacy a chance to succeed and avoid further escalations across the border.”

According to a source close to the West, who is familiar with the negotiation, also stated that the Hezbollah Terrorists Group had already agreed to the ceasefire deal a moment before the United States issued a proposal last week.

Moreover, the source did not detail that the ceasefire decision came straight up from Nasrallah, but said that for the agreement to have been reached, it must have come from him.

Another source claimed to have knowledge of the agreement also stated that the United States was told of the Hezbollah’s willingness to agree to the ceasefire deal.

However, a top official from the White House disclosed to CNN that the United States did not know and hear that Hassan Nasrallah was agreeing to the deal, in his words: “Nasrallah himself agreeing to the deal is “not something we have heard before. If true, [it] was never communicated to us.”

Matthew Miller, State Department spokesperson, did not outrightly rebuff that the ceasefire deal was agreed to, and also indicated that the United States was not told nor aware of it. Hezbollah Agreed “Ceasefire Deal” Before Assassination

“I can’t speak to whether he ever agreed to it and told somebody inside Lebanon.

Miller, while in a press briefing with CNN, “Obviously, that could be something that happened that we wouldn’t be aware of. I can tell you that, if that’s true, it was never communicated to us in any way shape or form

“We were having a number of diplomatic engagements to talk about the proposals that we were going to put forward. I think all of the parties were well aware of the proposals that we were going to put forward, but at no time in those conversations did we get a message that Hezbollah had agreed or was going to agree to it,” Miller said.

Several reliable sources already revealed that Hezbollah did never officially made the ceasefire agreement public. In a consideration, it appeared that Hezbollah was in waiting mode to see the reaction of Israel once the US, France, Germany and other Western allies issue press statement, announcing ceasefire agreement.

A few days earlier, one of the officials from the United States told CNN that statement issued by the US had already be assented to by Israel following their joint effort which went on for several days

On an impromptu phone chat that night, a White Official told reporters confidently that, “the ceasefire will be for 21 days” across the Lebanon-Israel border.

But several hours after the proposition, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “Israel would continue to hit Hezbollah with all our might.”

A United States official who had a holistic explanation on the happening, in an “honest misunderstanding,” asserted that they all thought the proposal “was the start of a process that could ultimately lead to a ceasefire.”

The US official added that the Biden administration backed out of aiding the push for last week’s ceasefire deal following their knowledge that Israel were still working to assassinate Nasrallah.

Reacting to fielded questions on the United States’ losing her influence in the region, the Lebanon’s Foreign Minister said, “Washington was “always important in this regard.”

“I don’t think we have an alternative. We need the United States’ help. Whether we get it or not, we’re not sure yet, but [the] United States is very important, vital for the ceasefire to happen,” Habib concluded.
