The rising cost of beauty products keeps going up, making it increasingly difficult for people to keep up with their regular beauty standard.

The upscaling cost of goods and services over the years has cast a high level of uncertainty and gloom over productivity.

The consequences of dollar inflation over time has been the root cause of inflation across board.

It is not surprising that the price of beauty products has moved on to unimaginable height thereby making beauty brands to keep increasing their prices owing to the fact that the cost of production and shipping has increased.

This unprecedented time has gotten many beauty enthusiasts to be on the look out for the best possible ways to keep up with their beauty standard.

The average woman has come to adopt beauty and skincare routine as a lifestyle.

It is never just a function of fashion but one that is distinct in the lives of so many. So, it is a necessity that plays a pivotal role in their day to day lives.

It’s a fact that many beauty enthusiasts are holding on to this standard and living up to it.

This lifestyle is only to those in the know, that good skin and perfect makeover has become more of a status symbol.

Consumers are seeking products that enhance their beauty, mood and comfort in general.

Beauty products are more expensive than ever: Here’s how it’s affecting women (womenshealthmag.com)

With beauty products particularly skincare tools ranging from #20,000 naira to a whooping #250,000 naira and more, it is increasingly challenging for many to continue to adopt and keep up with beauty standard.

To opt for lesser quality alternative that are relatively cheaper which is of fine quality is even burdensome because they are no more affordable, compared to how affordable it used to be years back.

Prices of skincare and beauty product has become a financial burden to many considering the fact that what used to be a lifestyle back has now become a luxury, which is obviously out of reach for so many.

What we find fascinating about this insight is that, there are reports that identifies and signifies a thriving trend with more women opting for effective skin and beauty products, whether for status or personal preference that priorities quality over quantity.

Although the general consensus is that the prices of beauty and skin care product is becoming more expensive by the day.

The current economic reality and high cost of beauty and skincare products is clearly a stronghold and majority are opting for alternative products.

We asked a beauty enthusiast who explained : ‘’for me, the cost of beauty products is outrageous, which makes it difficult for me to be able to afford and sustain the lifestyle’’.

Some beauty enthusiasts further explained that it’s worthless spending lavishly on beauty products because it is not an investment and they would rather invest their money into something more meaningful and sustainable, we agree!

For so many who cannot afford and keep up with this lifestyle but are not willing to completely give up on the possibilities of looking for the best alternative and creative solutions to their beauty and skincare needs.

The only way forward is to profer a solution that will foster sustainable beauty and skin care lifestyle that cuts across in order to make it all inclusive.

What are the best possible solution or alternative to keep up with beauty standard and how do we bridge the gap between the few who can afford luxury, and majority that can barely keep up with this lifestyle?

The question really is,can beauty and skin care status be inclusive? What are the best possible ways to bridge the gap.

Here are some of the best possible solutions to bridging the gap in order to make beauty and skincare all inclusive, as follows:

  • At the very heart of strategising and prioritising, businesses need to figure out how to make their customer’s interest priority.

A lot of businesses are barely surviving the consequence of inflation and price hike, however it is upon the every beauty and skincare vendor to priorities and protect the interest of their customers while maintaining standards.

  • Effectively communicate with your customers and keep them abreast of the possibilities of changes in price due to hike in prices of beauty product.

One of the worst events that keeps taunting  this economy is dollar flunctuation which is a significant burden on many businesses. However, there must be effective communication to ensure that customers are well informed and aware about the current situation.

  • Offer a wide range of beauty and skin care products, such that customers are provided with options to choose from.

Beauty and skin care vendors must be able to figure out how to seek the opinion of their customers on some beauty products and get feedback on what their beauty or skin care preference are, to be able to meet different needs.

This is one of the best ways to stay afloat at this time while ensuring  that your business is able to provide the best quality and affordable products that can meet individual needs.

  • Be sure to seek professional advice: there are experts in beauty and skincare field that will give you professional advice please engage their service.
