• Tinubu Urges Plateau State Governor to Include Hausa/Fulani in his Cabinet, and also Recognize Them as Indigenes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on political leaders in Plateau State to embrace inclusive governance by appointing members of the Hausa/Fulani community to key positions in the state government and recognizing them as indigenes of the state.

The President made the remarks during a high-level dialogue meeting with political, traditional, and religious leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Addressing participants at the meeting, Tinubu stressed that sustainable peace and development in Plateau State require fairness, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all communities.

  • Goldman Sachs Lowers 2027 Brent Oil Price Forecast Over Supply Growth, Demand Risks

Goldman Sachs has reduced its forecast for Brent crude oil prices in 2027, citing expectations of increased global oil supply and growing concerns over weaker demand.

The investment bank said rising production from major oil-producing countries, coupled with uncertainties surrounding global economic growth, could place downward pressure on oil prices in the coming years.

Analysts noted that slower economic activity in key markets and the increasing adoption of alternative energy sources may affect long-term demand for crude oil.

The revised outlook comes as energy markets continue to monitor geopolitical developments, production policies by major exporters, and changing consumption patterns worldwide.

The Power Of Street Fashion

The Power of street fashion in Lagos-where bold style meets culture, creativity, and fearless urban energy.

You don’t need a runway to make a statement-just a street in Lagos, a mood, and a look that feels like you.

From the markets in Yaba to the rooftops of Victoria Island, Lagos street fashion is raw, real and lived.

It’s in the way someone throws on a blazer like it’s part of their hustle, in sneakers worn from moving through the city, in thrifted shirts styled like designer pieces. The look are not curated-they’re honest.

In Lagos, fashion isn’t about dressing up. it is about showing up-and doing it boldly.

The People Behind The Looks

Street style in Lagos is not just about looking good- it’s a conversation. it’s expressive, layered, and often spontaneous.

The Power Of Street Fashion

Whether it is a weekday morning in traffic or a weekend at the rooftop event, people dress like they’ve got something to say.

Lagosians, don’t just follow trends, they remix them, rework them, and wear them with intent.

And behind every look there’s a story.

Street Style Scenes In Lagos

The Market Creative:

Take Yaba or Balogun- you’ll spot young stylists or vendors blending functionality with flair.

Cargo pants meet vintage jersey. Bucket hats on top of bold-coloured fits.

These are the fashion-forward hard workers, whose style works as hard as they do.

The Weekend Minimalist:

At brunch spot in Lekki or art pop-ups in Ikoyi, a new wave of quiet luxury is emerging.
Think Linen shirts, neutral tones, open toe slides, and clean cuts.

Fashion is fun
The Power Of Street Fashion

It is still Lagos-so the sunglasses are oversized, and the jewellery is intentional. Effortless, but never invisible.

The After-Dark Style Star:

From Victoria Island rooftop to private parties in Banana Island, night style in Lagos turns up the drama.

Think bold silhouettes, mini skirts and crop top, bodycon dresses, sheer top on denim with metallics and heels that means business.

It is a scene where street style meets nightlife- and every look is photo-ready.

The Real Life Mixmaster:

The Power Of Street Fashion

Then there are everyday Lagosians. The bike riders with printed shirts blowing in the wind, or the University student pairing a thrifted mesh top with flared jeans.

They don’t dress for the feed.
They dress for real life- and end up influencing everyone.

In Lagos, the street is not just where the fashion is seen.

It is where it starts.

Street Style As Identity:

In Lagos, what you wear is often who you are-or who you are becoming.

Street style here goes beyond trends; it’s deeply tied to identity.

For many young people, fashion becomes a form of self-definition in a fast-moving city that demands confidence and individuality.

It’s not just about looking good- it’s about being seen for who you are and where you’re coming from.

Whether it’s second hand jacket from Tejuosho market styled like a runway piece, or a native fabric reworked into street wear, every outfit is a declaration.

In Lagos, fashion doesn’t just follow life.
It narrates it.

Street Style As Everyday Performance:

Style in Lagos has its own energy.

From the moment someone steps, there’s intention-even if it’s casual.

The Power Of Street Fashion

Outfits are crafted to hold space, to shift energy, to announce presence.

Whether you’re stepping into an Uber or onto a red carpet, there’s always a performance happening.

And yet, it never feels forced.

That’s the beauty of Lagos street style- it’s bold without trying too hard.

It doesn’t ask for attention, it earns it.

Because when Lagosians show up, they show up styled, self-assured, and fully themselves.

Lagos Knows How To Show Up:

In Lagos, there is always something happening- and style always shows up with it.
From fashion events to everyday city life, people dress with presence.

Whether it is fashion week, a creative pop-up, church, brunch, or even a random Tuesday at the Fashion souk, Lagosians take the opportunity to be seen- and to inspire.

The city doesn’t wait for permission to be fashionable.
It just is.

The Power Of Street Fashion

Lagos Fashion Week:

Beyond the runway, is the crowd that defines the vibe.
Fashion lovers, stylists, influencers and everyday guests turn up in bold, experimental, or sharply curated looks.

It is less about what is trending- and more about making a statement.

The Fashion Souk:

This isn’t just a shopping event- it is a style fest.
Guests show up in their Sunday best, blending traditional fabrics with modern edge.

You will see gele with sneakers or Agbada with statement sunglasses.
People come to buy, network- but mostly-to be seen.

Sunday Service And Brunch

Style in Lagos does not rest.
Church fashion still thrives- elegant, crisp and coordinated.

Then it’s brunch o’clock- where espadrilles, slides, linen, Adire two-piece, Kaftan and sunglasses take over.

A new full day of looks, from holiness to hedonism.

Creative Hangouts And Rooftop Events:

From art shows to rooftop DJ sets, fashion is always part of the scene.
Think thrifted gems, locally made pieces, bold hairstyles, and layered accessories.

These moment keeps Lagos street fashion evolving- real people, real moments, real mood.

Lagos isn’t waiting for red carpet- every corner of the city is a runway in motion.

The Power Of Street Fashion

From Lagos With Style:

From Instagram feeds to editorial pages, the looks coming out of Lagos are bold, fresh and unapologetically original.

International fashion brands, stylists and trend forecasters are paying attention-not just to the designers, but to the people on the street shaping the mood.

Influence Beyond Borders:

Lagos looks are now regulars on moodboard from London to New York.
Whether it’s the fearless use of color, the art of mixing traditional fabrics with street wear or sheer attitude- it’s all being noticed.

This isn’t fashion for fashion’s sake- it’s Lagos street style, where culture meets the cutting edge.
