• Tinubu Urges Plateau State Governor to Include Hausa/Fulani in his Cabinet, and also Recognize Them as Indigenes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on political leaders in Plateau State to embrace inclusive governance by appointing members of the Hausa/Fulani community to key positions in the state government and recognizing them as indigenes of the state.

The President made the remarks during a high-level dialogue meeting with political, traditional, and religious leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Addressing participants at the meeting, Tinubu stressed that sustainable peace and development in Plateau State require fairness, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all communities.

  • Goldman Sachs Lowers 2027 Brent Oil Price Forecast Over Supply Growth, Demand Risks

Goldman Sachs has reduced its forecast for Brent crude oil prices in 2027, citing expectations of increased global oil supply and growing concerns over weaker demand.

The investment bank said rising production from major oil-producing countries, coupled with uncertainties surrounding global economic growth, could place downward pressure on oil prices in the coming years.

Analysts noted that slower economic activity in key markets and the increasing adoption of alternative energy sources may affect long-term demand for crude oil.

The revised outlook comes as energy markets continue to monitor geopolitical developments, production policies by major exporters, and changing consumption patterns worldwide.

Jumoke George: I am homeless as she reveals her battles with sickness

As we live, we all have our highs and lows

Many people we do not hear of today, might be someone weeping, weighed down by the circumstances of life.

I always struggle to hold tears streaming down by cheeks when I see the beautiful ones suffer.

Life is just what is, this is why we need to be kind.

Popular Nollywood actress, Jumoke George, has called for public sympathy and kindness, disclosing a series of personal and health issues have left her sick, homeless and in hunt for her missing child.

In one of the recent episode of the TalkToB show, hosted by a female colleague in Nollywood, actress Abiola Adebayo, Mrs. George burst into tears, describing her predicament.

In the clip, which eventually surfaced on various social media outlets, on Tuesday, depicted the popular actress emotionally recounting her predicaments, which includes her staying on a church’s premises, and her inability to afford medical treatment.

“Please pray for me, mothers in the world. Help me with your prayers. I have never ruined anyone’s life. I am tired, I can no longer bear it,” she said in tears.

Jumoke revealed that she presently had no place to lay her head in, and banks heavily on the church congregation’s aid for survival.

“I don’t have a home, I don’t have anything and a child of mine is missing. I don’t have good health, I am tired and exhausted. I’m living in the church, most times it’s the church mummy that feeds me,” she added.

The embattled actress also disclosed that her first child, Adeola, had not been seen for four days. Also noted that, despite her sickness, she is responsible for the day-to-day care of her grandchildren.

“I have tried as a Christian. My first born, Adeola, has been missing for the past four years. Deola clocked 41 on May 1. I’m the one catering for the children,” she explained.

George Jumoke, widely known for her purposeful roles in the Nollywood Yoruba movies, also revealed her health challenges since the turn of the years, with unaffordable medical bills.

“I’ve been sick since January 2 and I have tried my best as a human. I don’t know, I have done several tests and now I want to do brain and heart tests and it’s N400,000. I don’t know where to get the money from,” she said.

“I don’t sleep because I’m always in pain. Everything is wrong with me. I don’t understand anymore. I have put that child in so much debt,” she added, her voice quivering.

“Please pray for me, I’ve never destroyed anyone’s life. I’m just tired… I have no home, no belongings, and my child is missing,” she pleaded in the video.

Also, she went on to say she’s battling with her health, adding, “I’m not well,” among other heartbreaking confessions.

The veteran actress’ emotional plea has aroused a wave of concern and love from fans colleagues in the entertainment industry, who have taken to their social media pages to offer prayers and aid.

It also quickly caught the attention of the online community, triggering an outpouring of emotion from fans and netizens who flooded the comment section with prayers, concern, and disbelief.

Below are some reactions from fans and concerned social media (X) users:

@thefashygram: “Is this real? I feel terrible for her. She’s a fantastic actress. I remember her from the Yoruba films my mom always made me watch.”

@AjibolaFaisol01: “Feels like a Nollywood scene, but I hope it’s not. If it’s real, this is heartbreaking.”

@AbimbolahOlaibi: “Where are all the big names now? We throw lavish weddings, but ignore those in need. We lack love and empathy in this country.”

@Ayomide531909: “You people enjoy offline and bring pain online for attention? Be real, mama.”

@graphicalsoccer: “This is sad 😢. I always thought she was financially stable and acted for fun. May God help her.”

@DjL0ngmann: “Forgive me, but this woman always plays sad roles. Now it’s like her reality mirrors her scripts. Maybe a happier role could help shift her spirit.”

@sheyi_omotayo: “She attends a church on my street in Agbado. We assumed she was doing well. It hurts to now realize she’s suffering in silence.”

@NgoziPreshy: “No wonder she’s been off the screen. She’s carrying too much pain. God, please send her help.”

This pathetic and overwhelming situation illuminates the silent battles most Nollywood actors and people in general face.

Considering how the artists’ faces light glow on the screen, no one will ever think they there is another life behind the screen.

Recently in an interview, Chief Koran also disclosed how he lost his two wives in a day−one in the morning and the other in the night.

It is totally pathetic, and also discouraging to up and coming movie stars that they can be forgotten by the industry they tirelessly worked to build.

As fans are moved by her outcry for help with prayers and support, many also questioned how many celebrities, who gave their all to Nigerian entertainment industry, could be left to suffer.

Let u pray and hope that her cry for aid arouses a wave of action−and that she gets healing, peace and aid she deserves.

Quick Recovery and Get well soon, Veteran Actress Jumoke George
