  • Three Years After Lalong Left Office, Nigerians Reflect on His Legacy

Three years after the administration of former Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong came to an end, residents and political observers have continued to reflect on his eight-year tenure, with discussions centering on his achievements, shortcomings, and overall legacy.

Across social media platforms and public forums, many Nigerians have been asking a common question: "Three years after the Lalong administration ended, what stands out most to you about his time in office?"

  • Rev. Ezekiel Dachamo Alleges Boko Haram Infiltrated Nigerian Military, Links Claim to U.S. Troop Withdrawal

JOS, Nigeria — The Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev. Ezekiel Dachamo, has alleged that members of the Boko Haram insurgent group have occupied strategic positions within the Nigerian Armed Forces.

The cleric made the remarks in a video circulated on his social media page, where he discussed the security situation in Nigeria and the recurring violence in parts of the country.

According to Rev. Dachamo, the alleged infiltration of the military was the reason United States military personnel were withdrawn from Nigeria after, he claimed, they received security reports from troops deployed to assess the security situation.

He further alleged that the U.S. personnel had been sent in connection with concerns over what he described as the killing of Christian communities in parts of the country.

Rev. Dachamo did not provide evidence to substantiate his claims during the video.

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Federal Government of Nigeria, and the United States Government had not publicly confirmed Rev. Dachamo

The transformative impact of Globalization on education system has been profound. It has transform the way we interact with the world around us.

Globalization refers to the process by which businesses and other organization develop international influence.

The rapid advancements in technology and communication have brought the world closer. It has led to a more interconnected global economy.

The phenomenon, commonly known as globalization, has undoubtedly changed the way education systems operate. It has had far-reaching effects. It has opened up new avenues for education, making it more accessible and inclusive.

We will delve into the positive and negative impacts of globalization on education system. We will see how it has influenced the way we learn and teach.

To begin with, globalization has opened up new opportunities for students to access quality education. With the rise of online learning platforms, students can now enroll in courses from top universities around the world.

This has not only widened their knowledge base but has also exposed them to diverse perspectives and culture. The ability to learn from different countries and interact with students from various background fosters a global mindset. It prepares students for the global workforce.

With the advancement of communication and technology, education system has become more globalized. Globalization has led to the rise of information and communication technologies. It has paved way for the digitalization and internationalization of education.

The integration of technology in education has revolutionized the way lessons are delivered. Traditional teaching methods are gradually giving way to more interactive and engaging form of learning.

E-learning, gamification, and virtual realties, these methods not only make learning more enjoyable but also cater to different learning styles.

By incorporating technology, education systems have become more efficient, relevant, and adaptable to the constantly evolving global landscape.

Moreover, globalization has opened up opportunities for international collaborations and partnerships between schools and universities. This has allowed for the sharing of resources and expertise. This has provided students with a wider range of educational opportunities.

For instance, students can now participate in virtual exchange programs. Students can interact with other students from different countries and gain deeper understanding of different cultures. These collaborations also create a platform for students to develop cross-cultural communication. They will also develop teamwork skills which is essential in today’s globalized market.

The Transformative Impact of Globalization On Education System

On the other hand, globalization has also resulted in increased competition among education systems. Countries are now ranked based on the quality of their education. This has put immense pressure on governments and schools to perform better.

While this has led to improvements in the quality of education, it has also created a sense of privilege for students. Students in developed countries now have access to better resources and opportunities. This inequality in education has become a growing concern. Governments needs to bridge the gap to ensure equal opportunities for all students

Another downside of globalization on education systems is the homogenization of curriculums. In an attempt to align with global standards, many countries have adopted a standardized curriculum.

This has led to loss of cultural identity and indigenous knowledge, which is vital for a well-rounded education. Education systems must strive to strike a balance between global standards and preserving local culture and perspectives.

Furthermore, the impact of globalization on education system has also been felt in the job market.

As companies become more globalized, the seek employees with global mindset and international experience. This has put pressure on education system to produce graduates who are not only academically proficient.

Graduates needs to possess soft skills, such as cross-cultural communication and adaptability. The focus on these skills has led to a shift in teaching methods, with more emphasis on experimental learning and practical skills development.

In addition, globalization has made it easier for students to pursue higher education abroad. This has not only brought in revenue for host countries but also allowed students gain exposure to different educational systems and cultures.

However, the increasing number of international students has also led to issues such as brain drain. Highly skilled professionals leave their home countries for better opportunities abroad. This poses a challenge for education systems to retain their own talent and develop their countries.

Looking ahead, the future of global education system will be shaped by ongoing technological advancement.

Trends such as personalized learning, competency- based education and increased collaboration across border are likely to gain traction.

Additionally, the emphasis on sustainability and social justice will inform curricular decisions and pedagogical approaches.

As educational institution adapts to these trends, they will play a crucial role in equipping future generation. The skills needed to thrive in a global society would not be out of their reach.

Education system must adapt to the changing global landscape while also addressing these challenges. As the world becomes more interconnected, the role of education in shaping global citizens is more crucial than ever.

Globalization has undoubtedly had a significant impact on education systems. It has opened up new opportunities and brought in positive changes. It also brought challenges, including unequal access to education, homogenization of curriculum and brain drain.

To adapt to this fast-paced globalized world, education system must be flexible and open to change. It is crucial to strike a balance between global standards and preserving local identity Globalization has undoubtedly had a significant impact on education systems.

By embracing the benefits and addressing challenges, educators, policy makers, and institutions can work together. It is important to create an environment that prepare students for a globalized future.
