• Gen. Yakubu Gowon Says Two Christian Friends in Plateau Betrayed Him in New Memoir

Former Nigerian Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (Rtd.), has revealed that two of his Christian friends from Plateau State betrayed him, saying the experience remains one of the painful memories of his life.

Gowon made the revelation in his newly launched memoir, My Life of Duty, unveiled in Abuja during a ceremony attended by prominent national figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II, former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, former First Lady Aisha Buhari, former Heads of State, senior military officers, diplomats, and other distinguished guests.

In the book, the former Head of State recalled that two of his Christian friends in Plateau State abandoned and betrayed him, noting that the incident left a lasting emotional impact.

According to Gowon, despite the passage of time, he still feels the pain of what he described as their betrayal.

The elder statesman explained that one of the major reasons for writing My Life of Duty was to correct what he described as longstanding misconceptions and inaccurate interpretations about his life, his leadership, and the policies of his administration.

He said the memoir offers his personal account of key events in Nigeria

  • Three Years After Lalong Left Office, Nigerians Reflect on His Legacy

Three years after the administration of former Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong came to an end, residents and political observers have continued to reflect on his eight-year tenure, with discussions centering on his achievements, shortcomings, and overall legacy.

Across social media platforms and public forums, many Nigerians have been asking a common question: "Three years after the Lalong administration ended, what stands out most to you about his time in office?"

The question has generated diverse reactions, with some respondents highlighting infrastructure development, road construction, educational reforms, and efforts to promote peaceful coexistence during his administration.

Others, however, pointed to persistent security challenges, economic concerns, unemployment, and governance issues, arguing that these remain among the defining aspects of Lalong

abuja —

The Nigerian entertainment world is full of glamour and big love stories, but very few couples are as loved by the public as Temi Otedola and Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi. For nearly ten years, this duo has been the perfect example of a healthy, supportive, and private celebrity relationship. Now, the couple has shared a major piece of news that has completely taken over the internet: they are expecting their first child together.

The announcement spread across social media platforms like wildfire, bringing a massive wave of love, congratulations, and happy messages from fans, friends, and fellow celebrities all over the world. In a world where celebrity relationships often face a lot of drama and public pressure, Temi and Mr Eazi’s transition into parenthood feels like the beautiful, natural next chapter of a modern fairy tale.

A Beautiful Honeymoon Surprise
While the pregnancy news itself was enough to excite pop culture fans, it was the sweet, personal detail shared by Temi that truly captured everyone’s heart. In a candid and emotional revelation, the fashion icon and actress shared that she discovered she was pregnant during the couple’s recent honeymoon.

For a couple that has always kept their private lives away from the cameras, this revelation offered a rare and beautiful glimpse into their personal world. The honeymoon, which took place after their quiet and elegant wedding ceremony, was supposed to be a calm celebration of their marriage. Instead, it became the moment they made a life-changing discovery. Temi described the moment she found out with a mix of surprise and gratitude, calling it an unexpected but deeply beautiful blessing that made their honeymoon even more joyful.

The story of finding out about a pregnancy during a honeymoon carries a truly magical charm. It represents a beautiful blending of new beginnings—starting a lifelong journey as husband and wife while also embarking on the amazing adventure of becoming parents. For Temi and Mr Eazi, this news has brought them even closer together, turning a special vacation into the start of a whole new family era.

From “Skin Tight” to Forever: A Look Back at Their Journey
To understand why this pregnancy announcement means so much to people across Africa and beyond, one has to look at how Temi and Mr Eazi started. The couple first met in 2017. They were introduced by Temi’s famous sister, DJ Cuppy, at a music event in London. What began as a quiet friendship quickly turned into a romance that defied what people usually expect from celebrity couples.

At that time, Mr Eazi was rising fast in the music industry with his unique “Banku Music” sound, while Temi was making a name for herself as a major fashion blogger and stylist. Even though they worked in different fields and despite the massive wealth of the Otedola family led by billionaire businessman Femi Otedola the couple stayed remarkably humble and grounded.

Over the years, they showed their love through mutual support rather than flashy stunts. Mr Eazi became a regular face at Temi’s fashion shows and movie premieres, while Temi constantly promoted his business ideas, like his emPawa Africa project which helps young musicians. Their engagement in 2022, which they shared through a simple and beautiful video filmed in London, was celebrated by millions. By the time they quietly got married, they had already built a strong foundation of trust, shared dreams, and deep friendship.

Breaking the Internet: The Power of Their Brand
The incredible amount of attention this pregnancy announcement received shows just how much people love Temi and Mr Eazi. Within minutes of the news going live, their names became the top trending topics across Nigeria, Ghana, the United Kingdom, and several other countries.

The internet’s reaction came in a few different ways. First, there was pure joy from long-time fans who have followed their love story since 2017. Then came the funny jokes about how incredibly fortunate the baby is to be born into such a successful family. Finally, there were warm congratulatory messages from Africa’s top leaders in business, music, and film. Because the baby will have a legendary billionaire as a grandfather and a brilliant music businessman as a father, social media users have jokingly named the unborn child the ultimate “billion-dollar baby.”

Beyond the jokes about wealth, the widespread happiness reflects how much people love to see real, wholesome love stories. In a time when public breakups and celebrity drama are very common, Temi and Mr Eazi stand out as a symbol of stability. They have handled their love story with dignity and maturity, making their milestones feel like a victory for everyone who has supported them from the beginning.

Balancing Business, Art, and Becoming Parents
As the couple prepares to welcome their baby, both Temi and Mr Eazi are at the absolute peak of their careers. Temi has successfully transitioned from being a fashion influencer to a highly respected actress, taking on major roles that showcase her great talent. Her social media pages remain a huge source of inspiration for young African women who love art, fashion, and personal branding.

At the same time, Mr Eazi continues to prove that he is one of the smartest minds in the African music business. He is no longer just a hitmaker; he has become a major businessman who creates financial systems and distribution networks to help the next generation of African artists succeed.

The arrival of their first child will certainly bring a brand-new dynamic to their busy professional lives. However, looking at how well they have balanced their lives in the past, the couple is clearly ready for the demands of parenthood. In interviews leading up to their marriage, both Temi and Mr Eazi emphasized that family always comes first, proving that they will approach parenting with the same love and care they put into their work.

A New Chapter Begins
The story of Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi finding out they were expecting during their honeymoon is a beautiful detail that ensures this announcement will be remembered for a very long time. It serves as a reminder that even in the noisy and busy world of showbiz, genuine, sweet love can still grow and thrive.
As the Otedola and Ajibade families get ready to welcome their newest member, fans all over the world are watching with joy. For now, Temi and Mr Eazi are enjoying the love of a global fanbase that wishes them nothing but health, peace, and happiness. The countdown to the birth of one of Africa’s most anticipated celebrity babies has officially started, and the world is excited to see this lovely couple step into their most rewarding roles yet: becoming a mother and a father.
