• Tinubu Urges Plateau State Governor to Include Hausa/Fulani in his Cabinet, and also Recognize Them as Indigenes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on political leaders in Plateau State to embrace inclusive governance by appointing members of the Hausa/Fulani community to key positions in the state government and recognizing them as indigenes of the state.

The President made the remarks during a high-level dialogue meeting with political, traditional, and religious leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Addressing participants at the meeting, Tinubu stressed that sustainable peace and development in Plateau State require fairness, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all communities.

  • Goldman Sachs Lowers 2027 Brent Oil Price Forecast Over Supply Growth, Demand Risks

Goldman Sachs has reduced its forecast for Brent crude oil prices in 2027, citing expectations of increased global oil supply and growing concerns over weaker demand.

The investment bank said rising production from major oil-producing countries, coupled with uncertainties surrounding global economic growth, could place downward pressure on oil prices in the coming years.

Analysts noted that slower economic activity in key markets and the increasing adoption of alternative energy sources may affect long-term demand for crude oil.

The revised outlook comes as energy markets continue to monitor geopolitical developments, production policies by major exporters, and changing consumption patterns worldwide.

Floyd Mayweather’s  Uncle, Roger  Mayweather dies at 58. The former world boxing light-weight and super-featherweight champion has died at the tender age of 58.

He is the brother of Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Jeff Mayweather.

An Outstanding Boxing Trainer

It is important to note that Roger Mayweather was one of the core members of the distinctive Floyd Mayweather training team.

Suffice it to say that he was one of the key people who groomed Floyd Mayweather into the boxing Icon he is today.

A Superb Boxing Champion in His Own Right

WBC Roger Mayweather was an excellent boxer of his standing. He was involved in exciting and high-profile boxing matches, such as his fight with Ray Mancini and Julio Cesar.

In his lifetime, he was a 2-weight world champion, and successfully held the WBC light-welterweight title and the WBA and lineal super-featherweight title between 1987 to 1989.

Roger Mayweather held the IBO light welterweight title in 1994 and the IBO welterweight crown from 1994 to 1995.

Roger Mayweather popularly known as the ‘Black Mamba’ had a boxing career record of 59-13.

Declining Health

Recently, Roger Mayweather has not been in the best of health. It has been an open secret that his health has been in decline for years.

In 2015, Floyd Mayweather made a passing reference to his Uncle’s ill health by asserting that his failing health was induced by his exposure to the sport of boxing.

Floyd Mayweather is particularly close to his Uncle and was deeply saddened about his passing away, making it the second death that Floyd Mayweather is experiencing within one week.

He lost the mother of his children earlier this week.
