• Tinubu Urges Plateau State Governor to Include Hausa/Fulani in his Cabinet, and also Recognize Them as Indigenes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on political leaders in Plateau State to embrace inclusive governance by appointing members of the Hausa/Fulani community to key positions in the state government and recognizing them as indigenes of the state.

The President made the remarks during a high-level dialogue meeting with political, traditional, and religious leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Addressing participants at the meeting, Tinubu stressed that sustainable peace and development in Plateau State require fairness, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all communities.

  • Goldman Sachs Lowers 2027 Brent Oil Price Forecast Over Supply Growth, Demand Risks

Goldman Sachs has reduced its forecast for Brent crude oil prices in 2027, citing expectations of increased global oil supply and growing concerns over weaker demand.

The investment bank said rising production from major oil-producing countries, coupled with uncertainties surrounding global economic growth, could place downward pressure on oil prices in the coming years.

Analysts noted that slower economic activity in key markets and the increasing adoption of alternative energy sources may affect long-term demand for crude oil.

The revised outlook comes as energy markets continue to monitor geopolitical developments, production policies by major exporters, and changing consumption patterns worldwide.

Ruben Amorim to reawaken Man United’s glory as he vows to return the Red Devils’ elite status

We can recall that Manchester United have been shadows of their former selves since their legendary Manager Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down in 2013

The Manchester United’s hierarchy have experienced various shortcomings and disappointment during their effort and drive to replace their most successful manager in the history of Premiership.

A similar situation Arsenal Football Club experienced but were quick to lay their struggle to bed after appointing one of their former players and legends, Mikel Arteta, as their Manager in 2020.

Ruben Amorim who is yet to lead the club out on any outing, will be in charge of United’s Europa League first home game against a Norwegian outfit Bodo/Glimt on 28th November, 2024.

Ruben Amorim, the new United’s head coach, has stated his commitment and confidence in returning the club to its elite status in coming months.

On Monday, Amorim was reported flying into Manchester following the club’s official confirmation of him replacing United’s dismissed Dutch coach Erik ten Haag last month.

Amorim is the seventh manager employed by United following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.

With his exceptional managerial qualities and expertise, Amorim was employed to take United restore Manchester United’s glory by challenging for major honours season-in, season-out.

Since 2013, Manchester United have not been able to mount a serious challenge on the Premier League title, with their closest push came 3 years ago under their former player and legend Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer

Also, during post-Ferguson era, none of the managers has been able to get United past last eight in the Champions League or spent three full years in the role.

In his first media chat since arriving Manchester, Amorim, former Sporting coach told United’s club media that he is committed and determined to the United’s ordeal and reawaken Man. United’s glory

He said, “I will try to do everything to put this club in the place that it belongs, and I believe a lot that we are going to succeed.”      Ruben Amorim To Reawaken Man. United’s Glory

In anticipating his first official match since appointed, Manchester United have posted numerous pictures and images of Amorim with players, the executives and some of the club fans who embarked on a tour of Old Trafford when walking into the home dressing room.

He also too time going through United’s successful past. Not just the record 20 Premier League titles and three European Cups but also the disastrous days of the Munich air disaster and the ascension to glory under Sir Matt Busby.

With most United’s fans were not alive during the disaster, Amorim says it is important that it is important that understand the extent of the club they represent.

“You see the trophies and you see the tragedy that we have as a club,” he said.

“You understand the history, after the crash, then we were European champions. It is important to put this kind of strength in the team.

“When the players come here, they should make the same tour. It is very important. You have to feel this is Manchester United.”

Amorim was able to meet some United’s players while paying his first official visit to Old Trafford earlier this week, player including England trio Kobbie Maino, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount, who were all stepping up their rehabilitation to full-fitness return. Amorim will not get to work until next week.

Alejandro Garnacho and Manuel Ugarte are both on international duties with their respective countries−Argentina and Uruguay−and are still on duty until Friday when they would be able to meet up with their new coach and the rest of the teammates.

The 39 years old will then have the full squad available in preparation for his first official game, as Manchester United boss, at Ipswich, on 24 November.

Amorim admits that not all will be to his advantage, but has promised United fans that they will see a team that will be ready to become champions.

“The most important thing for me at this moment is to create the principles, the identity and the character we had in the past,” he said.

“We will focus a lot on our game model – how to play, how to press, these small things.

“You cannot go 100% on every detail because it will be confusing for the players. But if I have to say one thing, my main goal, my first goal, it is identity.”

Justification surrounding Amorim’s appointment will be made against United’s new structure, from co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, by the board member Sir Dave Brailsford, chief executive Omar Barrada, Sporting Director Dan Ashworth and technical director Jason Wilcox.

Berrada has been cited as the propelling force behind Amorim’s appointment, with Ashworth and Wilcox, the executives who will be closely working with the new coach, Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese coach said he felt great connection with the club already, and can see the excitement around Ineos’ broader plans for the club.

“We want to do something special in a special club – that was a key point,” he said.

“When Manchester United told me about their plans, you get excited. We know if the team plays well and wins games, everything looks so much better and the people really start to believe in the new stadium and new ideas.

“It’s a real honour that I was the first choice to start that path,” he added.
