Manchester United to decide Erik Ten Hag’s fate on Tuesday as crucial decision will be made after assessment.

Opinions are divided about Erik Ten Hag’s effectiveness in bringing back the glorious old days to the Old Trafford.

Let’s hope that the Board of Directors of the great Manchester United would see reason with him and exercise patience in keeping him.

In a Board meeting on Tuesday, Manchester United are looking to decide the fate of their underperforming coach.

According to a source close to the Old Trafford hierarchy, crucial discussions will be held to ascertain if the Dutch tactician is the right man to lead the team forward.

This season, Manchester United have only managed to secure just three victories out of eleven games in all competition, with the goal-shy Red Devils only ahead of Southampton in goal chart in the Premier League.

Is it said that the Old Trafford Outfit will not panic and will be justified while assessing how to move the club forward with or without their Dutch coach.

Erik Tan Hag remains confident ahead of Tuesday’s Board Meeting

Co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford are set to meet in London, with the chief executive Omar Berrada, sporting director Dan Ashworth and technical director Jason Wilcox are also set to be in attendance.

These top executives were all present at Villa Park, the home ground of Aston Villa, which hosted Man. United yesterday, but quite unfortunate, the match ended in a goalless draw, confirming the Red Devil’s most disappointing start to a new Premier League season.

Manchester United are now rooted to fourteenth on the EPL standing, having just managed to net five goals in seven matches tally only better than Southampton’s, occupying the nineteenth spot on the EPL table.

Joel Glazer, Co-chairman of Manchester United, with Ratcliffe and Brailsford comprises the decision-making body, which will be at the apex of the meeting come Tuesday.

It is understood that Collette Roche, the chief operating officer and chief financial officer Roger Bell might also be in attendance during the meeting.

Gary Neville, speaking after the disappointing draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday, said the goalless draw result will save Ten Hag’s job for some more time, and might just want to temporarily ‘keep the wolves away he should be wary of the coming weeks.

Manchester United are without a win in five matches in all competitions

Implementation of the game model, assessment of training sessions and attitude of each player are the responsibility of Ashworth, Berrada and Wilcox−but Wilcox, being the closest with Ten Hag, among the trio, is frequently present at the training ground to assess performance and activities of the team.

There are speculations that Erik Ten Hag is on the edge of being sacked and Thomas Tuchel is in the frame to replace him.

However, obvious shortcomings like appearing too tight to play against, not putting enough pressure against the ball and instant collapse after conceding cannot also be overlooked.

The problems seem to have stemmed from psychology rather than the deployment of tactics considering the reactions of the players after losing possession of the ball or when having conceded a goal.

While out of possession, they refuse to trackball runners and often make costly decisions while in promising attacking positions. Manchester United To Decide Ten Hag’s Fate On Tuesday.

Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United manager, has refused to back down his claim of having the backing and support of the management of the club.

After the goalless draw, on Sunday, against Aston Villa at Villa Park, the manager insisted that he had the club’s support and at the same time, called on his players to tighten things up amidst their worst-ever start to a new season.

It is to be noted that Ten Hag has never indicated, even as obvious as it is, that his job is under threat.

“I don’t have any idea that is different because they should have told me [if not],” Ten Hag said on Sunday.

“We communicate very openly and transparently. I speak continuously with them. Every week, I would say every day, we talk, so I expect I will speak with them.”

During the summer, United having decided to put faith in Ten Hag, would likely give him the whole season to turn things around due to the new set-up put in place.

The result, position on the table on the final day of the season, and performance will decide whether he retains his position.

During the summer, Ashworth and Berrada did not take part in the decision whether to retain the Dutchman as both were yet to fully assume their position at Old Trafford.

“We’re going to continue working very closely with him to help him get the best results out of the team,” Berrada said.

“Do we still believe in Erik? Absolutely. We think Erik is the right coach for us and we’re fully backing him.”

Ashworth added: “I see my job is to support him in every way I possibly can, and whether that’s operational, whether that’s with recruitment, whether that’s with medical, whether that’s with psychology, whether that’s training ground flow, it’s just to take as much of that off him to allow him to fully focus on the training pitch and the match tactical plan to deliver success for Manchester United.”
