President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on political leaders in Plateau State to embrace inclusive governance by appointing members of the Hausa/Fulani community to key positions in the state government and recognizing them as indigenes of the state.

The President made the remarks during a high-level dialogue meeting with political, traditional, and religious leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Addressing participants at the meeting, Tinubu stressed that sustainable peace and development in Plateau State require fairness, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all communities.

  • Goldman Sachs Lowers 2027 Brent Oil Price Forecast Over Supply Growth, Demand Risks

Goldman Sachs has reduced its forecast for Brent crude oil prices in 2027, citing expectations of increased global oil supply and growing concerns over weaker demand.

The investment bank said rising production from major oil-producing countries, coupled with uncertainties surrounding global economic growth, could place downward pressure on oil prices in the coming years.

Analysts noted that slower economic activity in key markets and the increasing adoption of alternative energy sources may affect long-term demand for crude oil.

The revised outlook comes as energy markets continue to monitor geopolitical developments, production policies by major exporters, and changing consumption patterns worldwide.

Anthony Joshua Vs Pulev

The veteran promoter, Bob Arum believes that there is not going to be a boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury because Kubrat Pulev will knock him out on the 20th of June 2020.

The American promoter believes that Anthony Joshua would lose his championship belts come 20th of June 2020 as Kubrat Pulev would prove too strong, too much for the reigning IBF, WBO, WBA (Super) and the IBO defending champion, and consequently end his boxing career.

For Anthony Joshua to have the chance to face Tyson Fury, the WBC World Champion in a mega fight, he will have to first overcome his mandatory challenger, Kubrat Pulev.

Bob Arum argued that the Pulev fight is a major threat that would truncate the chances of Anthony Joshua facing Tyson Fury in a mega fight.

It is important to put this into perspectives. Bob Arum is Kubrat Pulev’s promoter and also work with Tyson Fury in conjunction with Frank Warren.

Bob Arum genuinely believe that the Bulgarian Pugilist will defeat Joshua on the 20th of June at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and may even end his boxing career.

In Denial – Bob Arum

The Top Rank boss, Bob Arum denied entering into any negotiation or talks with Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua’s promoter with respect to the unification bout because he is confident that Kubrat Pulev will beat Anthony Joshua.

The denial came on the back of Eddie Hearn’s claim that: “I spoke to Bob Arum on Tuesday and we’ve been talking about how the deal would work.

“We’ve also said we’re willing to do the deal and sign the deal now for December, obviously subject to AJ winning and Fury winning.”

In response, Bob Arum said that: “Fury-Joshua is never going to happen.”

“Pulev is going to knock Joshua out, so why would I talk to Eddie, who I love dearly, about a Joshua-Fury fight?

“I think Pulev wins and then I negotiate with myself to do a Pulev-Fury fight.

“I am co-promoter of Tyson and the other co-promoter is Frank Warren. I would not talk to Eddie about a fight without Frank’s participation.

-Bob Arum

“Frank’s never even talked with Eddie.”

Rationale for His Belief

The American Promoter reached this conclusion because of the manner in which Anthony Joshua lost to Andy Ruiz Jnr on the 1st of June 2019 at the Madison Square Garden in New York, USA. He believed that the huge upset was enough for him to believe that a 6ft 6in Skilled and disciplined Bulgarian heavyweight boxer like Kubrat Pulev would be able to work Anthony Joshua down and knock him out.

Bob Arum further said that: “Joshua was the man on top and then he got knocked out by Andy Ruiz who fought almost all his fights with us, so we know how good and not so good he is.”

“The fact Joshua got knocked out should have sounded alarm bells. The fight he had to regain his belts I discount completely because Andy could not control himself, didn’t train for the fight and came in obese.

“Even then Joshua did not engage with him, he outboxed him. Pulev is yards and yards better than Andy Ruiz.”
