• Rev. Ezekiel Dachamo Alleges Boko Haram Infiltrated Nigerian Military, Links Claim to U.S. Troop Withdrawal

JOS, Nigeria — The Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev. Ezekiel Dachamo, has alleged that members of the Boko Haram insurgent group have occupied strategic positions within the Nigerian Armed Forces.

The cleric made the remarks in a video circulated on his social media page, where he discussed the security situation in Nigeria and the recurring violence in parts of the country.

According to Rev. Dachamo, the alleged infiltration of the military was the reason United States military personnel were withdrawn from Nigeria after, he claimed, they received security reports from troops deployed to assess the security situation.

He further alleged that the U.S. personnel had been sent in connection with concerns over what he described as the killing of Christian communities in parts of the country.

Rev. Dachamo did not provide evidence to substantiate his claims during the video.

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Federal Government of Nigeria, and the United States Government had not publicly confirmed Rev. Dachamo

Nigel Farage’s resignation as MP for Clacton has turned a parliamentary standards controversy into a wider test of political money, democratic accountability and migration politics. With major parties refusing to contest the by-election, the episode raises urgent questions about whether electoral theatre can be used to weaken parliamentary scrutiny — and what that means for African diasporas in Britain, Ireland and at home....

  • Teaching Al-Musannaf Requires Rare Scholarly Expertise Beyond the Reach of Many Nigerian Scholars

Renowned Islamic scholar and founder of Darul Hadith Salafiyya, Zaria, Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Adam (Albani Zaria), has stated that teaching Kitabul Al-Musannaf requires an exceptional level of scholarly competence that, according to him, many Nigerian Islamic scholars do not possess.

The late cleric made the remarks during one of his Sahih al-Bukhari lectures in 2013, while discussing contemporary religious issues and the qualifications required to teach classical Islamic texts.

According to Sheikh Albani, Al-Musannaf is among the most comprehensive works in Islamic scholarship and demands mastery of several disciplines before a scholar can competently teach its contents.

"Teaching Kitabul Al-Musannaf requires rare scholarly expertise beyond what many Nigerian scholars possess," he said.

He explained that a scholar seeking to teach the book must possess extensive knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), Hadith sciences (Mustalah al-Hadith), Islamic history (Tarikh), principles of narration, and other related Islamic sciences.

Albani argued that beyond academic qualifications, teaching the text requires years of specialization, extensive research, and a deep understanding of the differences among classical scholars and schools of thought.

According to him, many scholars lack the time, specialization, and depth of knowledge necessary to undertake such a demanding scholarly responsibility.

The respected scholar maintained that teaching advanced Islamic texts without the required expertise could lead to misunderstanding, inaccurate interpretations, and confusion among students of knowledge.

Armed Man Arrested Near Trump’s Rally Ground As Gun Loaded With Rounds Recovered From Him.

It is not a first time that reports of assassination are being attributed to the former President of the United States Donald Trump, and just over the weekend, anxiety was aroused, yet again, over a man allegedly gunning for another plot.

Trump. who himself, admitted that it was a “miracle” that escaped the first assassination attempt, attributing it to “an act of GOD.” Will look to be very observant while attending public outing after another armed man arrested near his rally ground over the weekend.

The man was apprehended with a shotgun loaded with rounds in his vehicle, very close to Donald Trump’s campaign ground in Southern California, over the weekend. Armed Man Arrested Near Trump’s Rally Ground

Reports: a man with fake identity, in possession of loaded shotgun, handgun, ammunition and various fake passports, was nabbed while trying to go pass a security checkpoint close to Trump’s campaign ground.

The incident took place on Saturday night−the night of Donald Trump’s rally in the Southern California. However, he was released by the authorities the same day on a bail which was reported to be $5,000.

According to a Riverside County Sheriff, Chad Bianco, in a Media brief on Sunday afternoon, the forty-nine-year-old suspect, who lives in Las Vegas, was driving an unlicensed SUV with a “homemade” licence plate, was flagged by deputies deployed to the campaign ground in Coachella, eastern Los Angeles. During interrogations, the driver disclosed himself to be a journalist but it was not clear if he was in possession of proper credentials to corroborate his claim. While questioning, the deputies discovered that the interior of the vehicle was unkempt and rough which prompted a thorough search.

During the search, weapons and ammo with various fake and mismatched passports and driving licences were unearthed, Bianco stated

He was eventually arrested on suspicion that he possessed a loaded dangerous firearm and high-capacity magazine.

“This incident did not impact the safety of former President Trump or attendees of the event. Trump had not yet arrived at the rally at the time of the arrest,” the sheriff said on Sunday.

The suspect has immediately been charged to court which is scheduled to hold on 2nd January, 2025, report says.

Attending to fielded questions by the media, Bianco refused to suggest or digress on the motive or frame of mind of the suspect.

“We know we prevented something bad from happening, and it was irrelevant what that bad was going to be,” Bianco said.

In Bianco’s statement, the man managed to beat the outer security checkpoints but was flagged by the inner one controlled by the sheriff’s department. He also noted that there was another security checkpoint operated by the Secret Service close to the campaign ground.

“The U.S. Secret Service assesses that the incident did not impact protective operations and former President Trump was not in any danger. While no federal arrest has been made at this time, the investigation is ongoing,” the United States Attorney said on Sunday.

When contacted, the Trump’s campaign could not immediately respond for own comments on the situation and the arrest of the suspect.

There were indications that securities have been tightened up at Trump’s campaign areas following recent assassinations plots.

It can be recalled that last month, a man, named Routh, was also arrested by the authorities after staking out the Republican nominee for twelve hours and disclosed of his intention to take out the former president.

Another assassination plot was two months ago when the Trump got shot and injured in his right ear following a failed attempt on his life during a campaign in Pennsylvania. Armed Man Arrested Near Trump’s Rally Ground

Due to security concern, the Republican nominee for the fast-approaching United States’ presidential election Donald Trump may not play golf again for the meantime due to security concern over attempted assassination ploys on his life.

Various sources close to the former United States former president have revealed that he has not played golf since assassination attempt last month, and has no plan to golf again until new security measure has been installed which is not expected to be in place before the election. In a briefing last month, we can recall that the Secret Service expressed their worries over continual assassination attempt on Trump’s life and proposing a more reinforced and additional security be needed if he were to proceed his golfing.

It will not be easy for the Security Service to secure Trump’s golf courses

On regular basis, Trump is seen playing golf in his numerous golf courses.

When asked if there is any development, a Secret Service spokesperson referred questions to the Trump campaign.

“Since the attempted assassination of former President Trump on July 13, the U.S. Secret Service has made comprehensive changes and enhancements to our communications capabilities, resourcing, and protective operations,” said Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi.

“Today, the former President is receiving heightened protection and we take the responsibility to ensure his safety and security very seriously,” he added.

However, Ryan Routh, an alleged suspect of Trump’s second assassination attempt on 30th September, has pleaded not guilty to the federal charge.

Recalling that Trump was playing golf on this day in his golf course before a Secret Service agent spotted a gun barrel sticking out from the tree. The Secret Service agent shot at the direction and Routh fled but was subsequently apprehended.
